| " Daniel grew up playing drums with his dad in clubs and bars all over Texas. He learned to play guitar early on and immediately began writing his own songs. He temporarily abandoned guitar for about 6 years while he toured as a professional drummer across the US, Canada, and Europe. After that time ended he began a band called Rhodes that independently recorded and released their own album, Half a Mind to Stay" in January 2007. They immediately made a name for themselves in the local music scene in San Luis Obispo, CA and performed with many other bands, including opening for Aerosmith in the summer of 2007. Since then Daniel has begun branching out and returning to his roots as a singer songwriter. The songs have turned from a solid rock and roll sound towards a more acoustic tone. " |
